Sunday's Funnies

Italian Golfer
An 80-year-old Italian goes to the doctor
for a check-up. The doctor is amazed at
what good shape the guy is in and asks,
"How do you stay in such
great physical condition?"
"I'm Italian and I am a golfer," says the old guy.
"I'm up well before daylight and out golfing.
I have a glass of vino, and all is well.'
"Well" says the doctor, "I'm sure that helps,
but there's got to be more to it. How old was your
Father when he died?"
"Who said my Father's dead?"
The doctor is amazed. "You mean you're
80 years old and your Father's still alive?
How old is he?"
"He's 100 years old," says the Old Italian golfer..
"In fact he golfed with me this morning, and then
we went to the topless beach for a walk and had
a little vino and that's why he's still alive.
He's Italian and he's a golfer, too.."
"Well," the doctor says, "that's great, but I'm
sure there's more to it than that. How
about your Father's Father? How
old was he when he died?"
"Who said my Nono's dead?"
Stunned, the doctor asks, "you mean you're
80 years old and your grandfather's
still living! Incredible, how old is he?"
"He's 118 years old," says the Old Italian golfer.
The doctor is getting frustrated at this point,
"So, I guess he went golfing with you this
morning, too?"
"No, Nono couldn't go this morning because
he's getting married today."
At this point the doctor is close to losing it.
"Getting married!! Why would a 118 year- old
guy want to get married?"
"Who said he wanted to?"
OOPS!
Roy, an undertaker, came home with a
black eye.
"What happened to you?" asked his wife."
"I had a terrible day," replies Roy.
"I had to go to a hotel and pick up a man
who had died in his sleep. When I got there,
the manager said they couldn't get him into a
body bag because he had this huge erection.
Anyway, I find the room and, sure enough,
there's this big naked guy lying on the bed
with this huge erection.
So I grabbed it with both hands and tried to
snap it in half."
"I see," says his wife. "But how did you get
the black eye?"
Roy: "Wrong room."

Some More Funnies..
One says: "Did you know that
Moose have sex 10 to 15 times
a night?"
"Aw shit..," says his friend,
"and I just joined the VFW!"

Peach Farmer
A farmer was selling his peaches
door to door.
He knocked on a door and a shapely 30 something
woman dressed in a very sheer negligee answered the door.
He raised his basket to show her
the peaches and asked,
'Would you like to buy some peaches?'
She pulled the top of the negligee
to one side and asked,
'Are they as firm as this?'
He nodded his head and said,
'Yes ma'am,' and a little a tear ran from
his eye.
Then she pulled the other side of her negligee off asking,
'Are they nice and pink like this?'
The farmer said, Yes,' and another tear came from the other eye..
She unbuttoned the bottom of her
negligee and asked,
'Are they as fuzzy as this?'
He again said, 'Yes,'
and broke down crying.
She asked, 'Why on earth are you crying?'
Drying his eyes he replied,
''The drought got my corn, the flood got my soy beans, a tornado
leveled my barn, and now I think I'm gonna get screwed out of my peaches.

Just Some Funnies
A When she sits on his face,
he can't hear the stereo.

While on a road trip, an elderly couple stopped at a roadside
restaurant for lunch. After finishing their meal,
they left the restaurant and resumed their trip.
When leaving, the elderly woman unknowingly left her
glasses on the table and she didn't miss them until
they had been driving about twenty minutes.
All the way back to retrieve the glasses,
the husband became the classic grouchy old man.
He fussed and complained and scolded his wife relentlessly
during the entire return drive.
The more he chided her -- the more agitated
he became. He just wouldn't let up.
To her relief, they finally arrived at the restaurant.
As the woman got out of the car and hurried inside
to retrieve her glasses, the old geezer yelled
to her, 'While you're in there, you might as well
get my hat and the credit card!

A man was driving when a traffic camera flashed.
He thought his picture was taken for exceeding
the speed limit, even though he knew he was
not speeding.
Just to be sure, he went around the block and
passed the same spot, driving even more slowly,
but again the camera flashed.
He thought this was quite funny, so he slowed
down even further as he drove past the area, but
the traffic camera flashed yet again.
He tried a fourth time with the same result.
The fifth time he was laughing when the camera \
flashed as he rolled past at a snail's pace.
Two weeks later, he got five traffic fine letters
in the mail for.........
driving without a seat belt.

Last Leg of Mini Trip
I returned from dropping Bob and his
girlfriend, Christina off in Sylvania and head back
to Statesboro. By the time I get back to the Hotel, Mom
and Danielle are already asleep.
So I pack. LOL
I am already anxious to get home, I pack everything
I can so in the morning, I just have to get up, get
washed up and dressed, load the car and I can head
back to Sylvania to see Bob once more before I head
out to Atlanta.
Mom and Danielle head down for the complimentary
breakfast the hotel offers with a promise I would meet
them in a few minutes.
Now, I do not know about anyone else, but when I know
I have a long travel day ahead of me, I do not like to
leave with a full stomach. You never know if
something you ate will not agree with you in the middle
of nowhere lol.
A discussion was had with my Mother. Some old things
were brought up and I spoke my parting comment and
left to go smoke a cigarette. Mom soon followed and
as we always do..we hash out a few more things before
we make up. It is always like that with her.
We said our farewells and spoke of calling each other
later. and I headed back to Sylvania.
Made a few videos on my cell for Wil.
~which I will post later~
And arrived at Bob's house. Everyone but him was still
asleep so we had a few minutes before I took off and
started back to Atlanta. While I was driving, Wil and I
spoke and he said he called the airlines to see if I could
get an earlier flight since I would be there hours before
I needed to be. He got me on standby.
I get to Atlanta, refill the tank and drop off the car.
Once again carrying that heavy ass bag I go through
the airport to where the gate is.
AND GUESS WHAT!!
For the first time in all my life of flying..the gate I
needed to get to was right there by the escalator!!
WHOO HOO!
I check in, and find out there are 17 others on standby.
So I wait...and wait..and wait.
Then they call my name! YES! I will be home 4 hours
earlier then expected. I end up near the front, sitting
between two Mexicans. 3 behind me and 2 in front of me.
The flight was pretty quick and we get into Chicago
20 minutes early.
My wonderful nephew Nick and his girlfriend, Karis
picked me up and brought me home. It was around
then I started to feel ... blah. But I put it down to the
long day of driving, the getting through the airports and
the flight.
Boy was I wrong.
The next morning I woke and worked my 12 hour shift.
By Monday morning I was ill.
My nose was running, I was having a hard time
breathing and I was coughing so hard I would give
myself a headache.
By Tuesday I had to get to the clinic. Swine flu was the
first thought in Wil and my heads.
I was tested for it. Given meds and sent home.
By Wednesday I was so ill I was getting frightened.
The cough medicine the Dr prescribed was making
me unbalanced. To the fact that I had fallen in the
bathroom when I went to pick something up.
Called the clinic and they told me not to take it
anymore. But I still had the Z-Pak antibiotics to take.
Well here it is a week later and I am sure it was not
Swine flu..but pneumonia which I am now prone to.
I can only wonder at what will happen next....

More of the Mini Trip
Waking up I had 4 text messages.
The most important was the one from Bob.
He was at rehearsal and would let me know when
he was done so I could go back to Sylvania and
pick him up. So Mom and I could shower some
much needed attention on him.
I showered, got dressed and checked mail
real fast when I got the text. Meeting place
arranged, I left the Hotel and headed to Sylvania
to pick him up at a friend's house.
I met his friend's mother and sat for a few
minutes. It was time to head back
to Statesboro.
Meeting up with Mom, we head out to the Mall.
Well..area where there are a few stores..lol
Between Mom & I, we get Bob,
Pants
Shirt
Tie
Boxers
&
Socks
He is set. So we decide to feed our hunger
and go to Ruby Tuesday's
Food was pretty good and I of course went to
town on the salad bar.
Then it was back to the Hotel so Bob could shower and
get dressed. As he got dressed it hit me. My baby has
grown up. He fought against many problems
and things and made it.
He got his High School Diploma.
He was no longer a little boy that played with
his action figure toys.
He was a graduate and heading into the Army

Needless to say it was a VERY happy day for me
Graduation went well. It stopped raining long enough
for the ceremony. And despite some BS drama
stemming from my daughter,
all went well.

We all headed to Chili's for dinner, then I dropped the
kids off and headed back to the Hotel. The next day,
I would be saying bye to Mom, Danielle and Bob.
Last bit coming soon.

More on the Mini Trip
Whoo Hoo!!
First people I got to see was my Mother and
a family friend that had flown down with my Mother.
Got the car unloaded and the first thing to get hooked up?
The Laptop.

Mom was absolutely thrilled of course that we would
have internet access.
All email could be checked without hassle.
All during this of course were the texts & calls
from both offspring.
"Where are you?"
"What are you doing?"
When are you coming to Sylvania?"
"How much longer?"
Jeeezum!!
And they call me impatient lol
Back into the crappy car I go for a 30 minute
drive to old Sylvania.
~the gray one is the one I was given~Nothing much has changed there except the highway
to Savannah. I first pick up the son at the library,
and choke him in a big hug the second he got into the car.
Then on to pick up the oldest, Krystal.
Finally we find her dwelling and get out of the car for
the first hug in almost 2 and a half years.
Pile into the car again for another trip BACK to
Statesboro to meet up with Mom and Danielle.
We meet at a favorite restaurant, Ryan's.
Food, drink, talk and lots of those awesome rolls
were enjoyed. During which I am sweating so bad
I am needing some cooling off.
Back to the hotel, Krystal and I proceed to change to
go swimming.

Here is the funny part..hehehehe
Bob and I go down to the pool ahead of the others. He
takes a seat and I step into the FREEZING water. But,
I keep going till I can slowly make my way to the side and
just cool off. Down comes Krystal. Running. I grin and wink to
Robert and look at Krys with a VERY innocent look and say.
"It is better if you just jump in!"
Well...she did...HAHAHA...
She came up and shrieked.
I could not stop laughing.
Neither could her brother or my mother.
That will teach her to jump in without some caution...
Enough for now..more to come soon!

The Mini Trip
Over the past few days I have faced flying,
driving LONG hours in a crappy Kia,
sleeping in a Hotel beside my mother and other
mini annoyances.
All to witness the end of an era.
My only son, Robert has graduated High School.
Leaving Thursday morning, Wil took me to meet
the shuttle bus that would take me to
Midway airport. We got there in plenty time so there
was no rushing around for once. The bus showed
up on time and soon enough I was settled in a
comfortable seat and waving to Wil through the
window as the bus headed away.
Arriving at the airport, I hefted my heavy bag
and headed to the AirTran check in counter & got
my boarding pass. Then it was time to head to security.
Removing shoes and laptop, I walked through & my bag
was flagged. Yep! I did remember not to bring
shampoo or conditioner or any other personal hygiene bottle
but forgot the Nyquil bottle. So..they had to test the contents
to be sure it was not some kind of explosive.
That was done quickly with a few quips exchanged
between the Security personnel and myself.
Sneakers donned, Nyquil returned to the bag, I
headed to the LAST gate!! Damn it, why is it EVERY
time I fly...my gate is always the furthest one??
After a short wait, we board the plane.
I HAD ordered a window seat. I got an aisle seat.
So when the cart came passed, I would get my elbow
clocked. Super.
Take off, landing. All went without a hitch.
Atlanta Airport.....
This place is HUGE!!
It even has it's own train system!
Needless to say I was misdirected three times before
I was put on the right track. Budget was located
and a shuttle took me right to their rental offices.
After some talk and such, I discovered I was NOT going
to get the cobalt I was SUPPOSED to get.. but a crappy
PT Cruiser instead.I refused it..so was given an even
crappier Kia.
No power windows..No power mirrors
and worse
NO CRUISE CONTROL!!!!
Yes..I was to drive the 3 and a half hours to
Statesboro without the luxury of cruise control.
IT SUCKED!
The only good thing was the CD player lol
Long story short, I made it to Stateboro.
My mother made it to the Hotel before me,
which means she did not know what I had already ordered
and they gave her a MUCH smaller room without
a couch. Which meant sharing a full size bed.
I got to see my son and yes my daughter.
Mom and I got together and got Robert prepped
for his graduation
He has grown up.
Become a man.
I am so very proud.
More to come!

The Friendly Skies..Here I Come!
to the airport.

Joining the millions of people that filter through
the airport to be loaded into a long,
thin, heavy tube with wings. To travel
at high speeds through the air, probably sitting
uncomfortably beside some old fart
(male or female) with a grip on the arm rests
(that I will be claiming), that could rival any
vice.

I have flown a few times in my still young life.
And the anxiety is still just as strong.

I wonder if I could down a few glasses of
liquid courage before schlepping to the gate.

A little bit of bytching always works...
So here is the little story..
One of out regular guests came in a few weeks
ago with a box. Of course the usual small chat
ensued. And I discovered he had bought
his former spouse a birthday gift.

He opened the box and revealed a set of
glasses that I thought were just so great.
I asked him if he had wrapping paper.
He being a man and staying at a motel,
of course did not.

A few days went by and I forgot about the
glasses and such when the Boss Man came in
for his shift, and went into the office and came out
with a box and handed it to me. Telling me
the guest I will just call Nicky, had left it for me.
Turns out, he had given it to Wil, and told Wil to
say it was from him! lol
Wil of course put out the usual teases..joined in
with the Boss Man to torment me about the
receiving of such gift.
Well here it is..

Now, I am not one to go around expecting gifts.
But this was just so touching that this man I
really do not know, took time out to think of
me and brought me these glasses.
Now I just have to figure out
where the heck I am going to put them!
LMAO!

OK Then....
lovely gift I had gotten from one of
our regular guests here at the LoveTel.
BUT
Well..
I asked the Commander 3 WEEKS ago
to take pics of them and send them to me
due to HIM having the desk top and me just
a lap top that does not really do all those fancy
things he does on the desk top.
Soo..
I guess this post just turned out to be
a bytch fest about how I am STLL
waiting for those pics.
Maybe he will get around to it when
he is done throwing it around on the internet....

I Almost Peed my Pants...
for a late meal at this crappy joint
we frequent in the late hours. Due
to the fact that almost everything is closed
at 1 am lol.
Well we ate our halfway decent meals and left.
On the way home, Wil got the brilliant
idea to stop by one of the Dunkin Donut
places. I was thinking ice cream since the
dognuts at that time in the morning are
not exactly fresh.
Well....
We pull up to the window and of course I wanted to get
something OFF the menu that was there.
Now first of all...why is it the people that work
in this business are not just non Americans..
But have THE WORST accents in the world. So not only
does the horrible connection at the drive up suck..
but then you have this garbled shadow of a human's voice
not hearing you..or you not understanding them???
But wait..there is more...
We discover through our super human hearing and
our excellent deciphering skills the soft serve machine is
down. I forgo the ice cream and Wil places his order.
We drive around to the window..and the man that is there,
ALONE I might add comes to the window and with
not only a VERY thick Pakistan, India, or some sort
accent asks Wil to repeat his order.
When it came time to get the total
this poor man who already had some problems
due to the language difference proceeded to speak with
a consonant cheek flutter. Which of course, had me dying.
I had to hold it in till Wil paid the poor man and we drove
away so I could burst out in hysterical laughter that
made tears spill and legs clench to ensure I did not
pee myself.
Whoo..I am still giggling here over it!

Preparations for a Trip
On May 21st, I will be flying, yes..flying
down to Atlanta, GA then driving 2 and a half hours
to the town my son is in for his
High School Graduation.
Not adding in that just 5 days later, he will
be packing up to go to boot camp for the Army.
Originally, Wil and I were supposed to take
half our vacation to go together to see this
momentous occasion. But the Boss Man had
other ideas. So I go alone.
While in GA, I will be visited by my Mother,
and a friend, Daniel. We will be going in
together on the Hotel which will cut costs for all.
The graduation is on the 22nd..and I will be
returning to Chicago on the 23rd to be ready
for a 12 hour shift on the 24th.
I hope I still have it in me for all this traveling lol
